Review by Woodie
Aroma: 7 out of 12 Not a highly aromatic beer, however I believe that is appropriate for this style.
Appearance: 3 out of 3 Black as can be
Flavor: 14 out of 20 I liked this batch better then the last. The previous was a little too sweet. It has been in the keg on tap for about 2 weeks now and is getting better with each passing day. Next go around I think I will follow the same process but ½ the black patent as I think there is a bit too much of a roasted flavor.
Mouthfeel: 5 out of 5 Feels just right. Not to thin but not really heavy either.
Overall Impression: 7 out of 10 Best batch of porter I have done so far (of course it is only the 2nd one). Really like this recipe and will do it again. As I commented before I think I will use less black patent next time around.
Cumulative Score: 36 out of 50 Very Good
